12/10/2014 Posted by Allen Heffler Philadelphia Medicare – Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period ended on December 7, 2014. It was during this time period that you were able to do such things as change your Medicare Advantage Plan and change your Part D prescription plan. What if you intended to make a change but missed the deadline? There is chance that you can still make changes, if you are eligible for Medicare’s Special Enrollment Period (SEP). There certain instances where Medicare allows you to change your plan during the calendar year. Do you live in Pennsylvania and are on Pace or PaceNet? This qualifies as an SEP and you will be permitted to change your plan. Do you receive Extra Help through Social Security? This qualifies as an SEP and you can change plans. Are you leaving employer coverage though no fault of your own? SEP. There are other SEP chances as well. Questions? Just call us at (215) 658-1776. We are here to help you every step of the way!
